Lucy is really enjoying Krissy's graduation, especially all the clapping. :)
We played on the playground in the rain this morning. Tonight is my cousin Krissy's graduation and tomorrow is my cousin Dani's graduation. Then home.

Brian made me this lovely drawing while he was visiting. I think he was really hoping to make the blog so here it is. :p

We have visitors tonight! I bet a few blog readers are jealous right now. ;)

Today we are just hanging out at the campsite. We might go visit my friend Laura later. Tomorrow we pack up and meet Grandma and BobBob at a different campground.

Nobody gets a free ride around here. Daddy makes Lucy work hard!
This is a video I took on my cell phone hence the low quality. It's of Freddy and Tucker (Tate & Andrea's son) checking each other out. It ends when Lucy fell off of her chair. You can hear Dave say "she is gong to cry." And wasn't he right. She cried. Very loudly. She was fine not even a scrape.

Milestone

Freddy rolled over today! He was chillin' on the floor having some tummy time in his sister's room while I got her ready for nap. Then just like it was no big deal he rolled himself over. Yeah big guy!

We leave for a week of camping tomorrow morning. We are all very excited! The reason for our trip is that we are going to a wedding this Sunday and then two of my cousins are graduating high school next week. I am really excited for the wedding, to see some friends from college, be in the Adirondacks, and see my family! I am also excited to have Dave be with us for an entire week, he has been very busy with work, weddings and the fire department. I will take lots of pictures and update when we get back. I will even try to post a bit from my phone while I am gone.

My brain hurts!

I was trying to figure out why I feel so tired and brain dead lately. I realized it is because I now have to think for three (sometimes four) people. I don't just get to think about whether or not I am hungry/have to go to the bathroom/am bored/am hungry/etc. I have to think about whether or not Lucy and Freddy are any of those things. I have to not just listen to their crying, I have to figure why they are crying, what will stop their crying, and how can I try to prevent future crying. On top of that I have to figure out what stuff we need to go anywhere, and I have to carry all the stuff and carry the kids. (I know that Lucy CAN walk but that doesn't mean she WILL walk.) Have I mentioned lately just how big (aka how heavy) Freddy is? I know I am whining, but my head and back hurt! I really feel the need to vent all of this because I am packing for our week long camping trip now. So thanks for listening, I feel a bit better all ready!

Success!

I just posted to the blog from my cell phone! I am psyched! I tend to jump on the bandwagon for new technologies pretty late, but I think I am not too far behind on this one. :) Supposedly I can even text pictures to the blog. I now have the capability to make instant updates. Lucy does something cute, you can see it, now! :) Maybe I will even be able to post while we are camping next week. Maybe not though for two reasons, number 1 we will be in the Adirondack Mountains and there may not be much cell reception, and number 2 I will have to sneak phone usage by Dave. He would be appalled if he caught me texting while camping! He would prefer to rough it, and I have made him make some concessions for the wife and kids, but I don't want to push it. It took a long time to convince him to buy the tiny little pop-up camper I wanted so that I wouldn't have to sleep on the ground any more. I don't think I put up any pictures of the camper yet. Here are a couple from right after we brought it home.

My whole family is already sleeping so I guess I had better head up too. Look forward to (or fear) hearing from me via cell phone!
I am posting this message from my phone. This is the trial run on mobile blogging. Aren`t I just catching up with the times?

Misc.

I have had so many musings that I have wanted to blog about but no time to do so. Sorry! I knew that this spring/early summer was going to busy and it is really starting to take its toll on me. I am beat! I think we have only had one free weekend since Easter, and I don't think we have any more free weekends coming up until about mid-July! Anyway, I am resisting the oh so comfy couch to sit and type. :)

Lets start with what we did today. I decided to take the kids to Stony Brook a nearby state park, and it was awesome!!!!! I had never been before and I had no idea what I was missing! The park is along a stream that is very shallow and has lots of little pools and waterfalls that you can walk through. It is now one of my favorite places! Kim decided to take the afternoon off to come with me. Then Tante Annie, Ume Lutsen, and Oma came too. I can't stop saying how great it was. I took lots of pictures and some videos. I can't wait to go back!

First we had a picnic lunch.

Then we played! They had a really awesome playground too, but I didn't seem to take any pictures of it, Doh!

Here are Kim, Lucy, and Tante Annie enjoying the water. The water was surprisingly not cold.

Mama and Freddy

A very nice group picture.

Lucy took this one, I think she did a pretty nice job.

Lucy said THE cutest thing ever this evening. She went over to Freddy and crouched down, held his hand and called him "my little snuggle man"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think I have ever called him that, I believe that was her very own made-up nickname for her brother. She is soooooo cute with him. She loves to lay with him, snuggle him, hold him (although he is way too huge for her to hold now she still tries to), and show him toys and books. She is the best big sister, and Freddy adores her. He watches her and smiles at her whenever she is near. Sometimes when he is fussy I can just lay him down on her bed and he quiets right down. Of course if I do that I have to be careful I don't lose amongst the animal army Lucy insists on sleeping with. There are about 15 animals in there and she needs to have all of them touching her at night. She drives me insane at bedtime making me arrange them all!

I have so many projects going and in my head I feel like I am going crazy. There are just so many things I want to do. I only have 2 pottery classes left before summer break and way too many things started but it's not nearly everything I wanted to make. I have a couple of craft projects going at home too, plus normal housework. I can barely keep up with the normal stuff and now I have added on gardening. which I would much rather do. I would choose weeding (aka being outside) over laundry, dishes and dusting every time. I have gotten kind of tired of living in filth though so I am trying to put in a better effort indoors.

I am going to randomly jump topics again, I am trying to get a little bit of everything in. :)
This past weekend we went to a wedding and had a great time! The kids were not invited so I decided to get two adjoining hotel rooms and put the kids and babysitters there while we had fun at the reception which was at the hotel. It worked beautifully! I just ran upstairs to the room and Freddy when he needed me, and Dave didn't have to leave at all and I got to go back down for more fun. This was our first time hiring teenage babysitters, and they were great, of course! It made for a busy weekend that I had to plan very carefully but it was worth it! (Dave was in the wedding so I had to figure out and do a lot by myself to make it all work, but it did work.)

The babysitters, Maddie and Sierra. Thank you girls!!!!

Dave and our friend Melissa. She was Matron of Honor, and looked beautiful!

This is what we came back to the room to.

This is one of the funniest and cutest videos I have ever seen, but I might be biased. ;)

There are lots more pictures at My Pictures in both the May and June albums.

And for a final note, here is a picture of a huge moth that was on our front porch the other day. It's wing span was at least as wide as my hand. Lucy and I both liked looking at it...from a distance!

Big News

I'm back from Computerless-ness. Lucy spilled coffee on the keyboard the other day and I just finally got the chance to get a new one.

The big news around here is that Freddy is sleeping through the night!!!!! And he is doing it in his crib, not my bed!!!!!!!!!! He has been sleeping from around 10pm to at least 4am. Then I get up nurse him and he goes back to sleep! Without crying! Lucy still doesn't sleep as well as he is. The first day that he did this I was so excited when he woke me up that I almost couldn't go back to sleep. I am one happy Momma! :)

My happiness comes and goes though. Lucy has suddenly turned into a real 2 year old. She cries randomly, and I mean sobbing, she runs away from me everywhere, she doesn't want to do anything you ask her to do, and then she completely switches and is totally cooperative, is loving to her brother, and gives me tons of hugs. All in all if I had to describe her one word I would say lunatic. Or she is turning me into a lunatic! That is a 2 year old for you though, right?

Here is a video of the little loon singing the alphabet. She's almost got all of the letters.

Yesterday I had an interesting experience, I had a visit from a door-to-door salesman. I didn't know that job still existed and he was selling a product that I didn't know still existed, encyclopedias. They were "learning systems", but yeah, they were encyclopedias. I let him come in and give his pitch but I did not buy anything. I felt bad for the guy, having such a tough job but not bad enough to buy anything.

Now that Freddy is 3 months old I am feeling like I really have to get off my butt and get back to normal. I am trying to eat better, exercise more, and get back on a schedule for taking care of things. I am trying to get him on a loose schedule too, mainly I would like him to take a nap at the same time Lucy does. I am not having a lot of luck with that yet though. I've got the house "cleaned" (my version of clean that is, toys picked up, things dusted, and the floors at least swept), and I am trying to catch up on laundry. I finally washed all of the winter hats and mittens...yesterday. Now if I can just put them away too. :) That reminds me, I think I heard the dryer buzz I better go fold clothes. Here is one more video, it is of a fun game Molly made up and Lucy joined in on, on Memorial Day:
