We had a big, horrible spring snowstorm over the weekend. Over 8 inches of heavy heavy wet snow on top of ice, on top of rain, on top of mud. It is melting already though, it is supposed to be 60 tomorrow!

Her girl scout troop got to visit a middle school science classroom. They did a few experiments and looked at slides through microscopes.

Freddy had his 5 year old check up today which includes a bunch of unpleasant shots. We made a nice day of it though and went to lunch and shopping. He requested we go to the fabric store even and how could I say no? He picked out a fabric covered in peacocks for some new pants. :)

In Lucy's class for a child's birthday, they go around the room and everyone gives a compliment to the birthday girl. I think this is the best tradition ever! This is Lucy's list, the two with hearts are from Mommy and Daddy.

This week is Read Across America week so we have been doing lots of extra reading at home and school. Yesterday Lucy won a prize for having read the most books of anyone in her class for that day. I have been pushing her to be a bit competitive with this because she has missed the competition gene most of her aunties have. ;) She never pushes herself to do better than anyone which is good in a way but she never pushes herself. She is an excellent reader so I have pushed her to do more reading this week, more reading is never a bad thing in my book! :)

He doesn't look happy, but he is. He is just concentrating on building the ambulance. Fred is really good at following lego directions!
