The babies were a little confused about why we were going outside in the cold, after dark. :D

Henry says hi! He isnt feeling great this morning, I think he may be coming down with a cold. We will have to see what happens.

Here are Lucy and Freddy's pumpkins! Try not to be too scared. Freddy's is the one on the left, he drew it (do you see how many eyes it has!) and Daddy carved it for him. Lucy claims hers is scary but I think it is awfully cute. She drew it and did part of the carving, Daddy helped her with knife safety and the rest of the carving. 

Henry also picked out a huge pumpkin but since he can't do any of this (his skin is too sensitive to even play with the pumpkin guts :( )we waited until he went to bed. I am going to make his into a turkey. :) 

I got to spend the whole day today at Lucy's school! It was so great!!!! 
As a "healthy alternative" to Halloween (don't even get me started on that!) our school has a Fall Festival. The PTA puts it on and there are all kinds of activities for the classes to go and do. Dave and I took Potato for the kids to come out and see. She was a little jumpy around so many kids so I didn't let the kids pet her but I told them all about her and they got to ask questions. They had A LOT of questions, some which were great, some not so great.  Some of the 1st grde boys wanted to know all about how donkeys fight and how they kick. :) 
It was so much fun!! I hope they ask us to do it again next year. (and the year after that... I will have a kid in that building every year for the next five years :D)

I am doing some more packing. Henry wedged himself into that space then started crying because he couldnt get out. :D

I made a fruit salad this morning. Despite the smile, Henry does not approve of it. It has weird stuff he has never eaten before like strawberries and grapefruit. :) I wish I had caught the face he made when he tried the grapefruit!

For the Record

Today Lucy is 5 years, 7 months, 1 week and 4 days old and, for the first time but surely not the last, she told Dave and I that we were weird.

My friend Maggie is one of the chaperones on Lucy's field trip to the pumpkin farm today. She sent me this adorable picture of Lucy and her friend Emma. They look like they are having so much fun! 

Groceries!!!

There are zombies in the garden! Or the kids are enjoying the last watermelon in Oma and Grandpa's garden. 

This is the nicest sick day I have had in a long time. (I just have a cold but I feel like total crud.) We visited Granny's knitting club at the library this morning, Molly amd Kate came to play, I took a short nap while Henry napped and the big kids watched TV, then we had some snuggling and snacks. Now we are all coloring together and waiting for Dave to come home. 

Look how happy Henry is to steal one of Kim's cookies. Good thing she decided her new favorite cookies are Henry friendly pumpkin ones. :)

It is Saturday morning and we are all so glad to have Sissy home to play with us.

This is what we do while the big kids are at school. :)

Cancel that great dessert. I don't know what about it was bad, but something certainly did not agree with him. About 5 minutes after I took the dessert picture he started itching. He now has hives over 2/3 of his body. :(

I made Henry an awesome vegan/allergy free choclate mousse with coconut whipped "cream".  Henry loved it and so did everyone else, even Dave! :)
