We have been so busy! Some of it was fun, like swim lessons, birthdays and a trip to the water park. Some of it not so fun, doctor's appointments and a funeral. This week the schedule is pretty clear though so hopefully we can relax and get caught up on stuff around here.
Freddy and Lucy have both been having growth spurts. Freddy hardly has any pants that fit! Luckily for me Lucy likes to wear leggings with skirts so her clothing is a bit more flexible, her leggings are turning into capris. :D Freddy only had one pair of shorts to wear during last weeks summer preview, and Henry is down to just fleece footie PJs. Yesterday I made Henry a couple pairs of pajama pants, so this week will be pants for Fred. After that I will make everybody shorts and some new dresses for Lucy. also on my sewing agenda are birthdays gifts for two friends, a birthday gift for a niece that I can't believe is turning one already(!), a small Easter present for each of the three kids, some underwear for Freddy, and some washable pull-ups for the big kids. I hope that if I do a little each night I might actually accomplish a few of these things. :)
Last week Lucy and Freddy both had check ups. They are both perfect. :) Lucy is only in the 10th percentile for height and the 25th for weight. Freddy is just under the 25th percentile for height and in the 50th for weight. Lucy had to get 4 shots, which is the pre-kindergarten thing, and she was so brave. She didn't shed a single tear!
Last week my cousin Krissy came to visit for a few days, which was fun! I hope she had as much fun as the kids had with her. :) Then at the end of the week we went for an overnight trip to the new indoor water park in Batavia. That was so much fun!!!! Henry hated it at first but he gave in and splashed a bit. I am sorry that there are no pictures, but it was a water park, you know with water which is bad for cameras and phones. ;)
We ended the week with a super busy Saturday. First Dave and the big kids took Gus to the vet for his over due check up. Then we went to the Diner , of course. Next was a clinic for t-ball followed by swim lessons. Then we went to the city with Dave to pick a few things up, home for a quick dinner before Kim arrived to babysit so Dave and I could go to a party for my friend Heidi. We had a great time, you could almost say too good of a time, at the party. :)
Sorry to end this post abruptly but it is time to go get Lucy from school.
