We are going to do something everyday for the next 2 weeks that is either a celebration of summer or of school starting.

Two pictures today! This is the outfit Lucy chose so I decided to make Freddy a twin. ;) They are both wearimg their Cardinals shirts that Kim brought from St. Louis and they both have on hand-me-down OshKosh overalls from cousin Marcus. At the last minute Lucy decided jewelry would complete the ensemble and then Freddy had to have a bracelet too. :) They are too darn cute!!!

Lucy has always liked to color and do crafts but Freddy loves it! He especially likes painting and coloring. Lucy's favorite is gluing things.
I have been trying to sew lately and they both want to help and look and touch all of the sewing machine parts and the fabrics. They both steal my crochet hooks and yarn too. I had to give them their own ball of yarn and a big plastic hook that I have. Hopefully this stuff will stick with them.

I couldn't look at that painful picture of Freddy any more. :) Since his nose is healed here r some new pictures from the last week or so. This picture is the part of our basement that will be just outside the walkout door. Under that gravel is a lot of work that Dave had to do in order to fill it in and start building up. Because it will be exposed to the elements it had to have extra rows of block under it. Yesterday I spent the day helping him lay block (a.k.a. build foundation)!

This was the best shot I could get to show off the rough weekend Freddy had. He has a bruise on his forehead that he got Friday night. He decided to stand on one of the riding toys to look out of the window and fell off. He has a bruise on his cheek and under his eye that he got Sunday morning. He tripped on a block and the arm of his rocking chair caught him right in the eye. It looked much worse yesterday, people kept asking how he got the black eye. Last night he scraped up his nose. He fell by the pool at Oma's house. He actually caught himself but his momentum tipped him over his hands and his nose smashed into the concrete. This morning he got a new one on his forehead. I'm not really sure what he banged his head on that time.
I think I am going to start keeping ice packs and neosporin in my pockets. :)
