Lucy has been playing "paying stuff" a lot lately and has made elaborate pretend setups. This is a game that she has played for a long time but has recently evolved to more of playing store. Yesterday she even set up some teddy bear employees! So today we went to Toys-R-Us and bought a cash register with scanner. She's certainly got her Father's entrpreniurial genes!

Brief update
I really should be going to bed so here is a quick summary of what's going on around here:
We are getting very little sleep around here, it is like having a new born, but much heavier. You should see how huge my biceps have gotten! Freddy can't get comfortable and we can't let him cry it out in his crib because he gets his arm out of his bandage so Dave and I switch off taking him downstairs to hold him in a position that he can/will sleep in. He has become very spoiled over the last few weeks and we are going to have a very hard time getting him back into his crib. Speaking of spoiled, we have been watching a lot of TV and I am feeling awful about it. We have been using it to quiet Freddy down during the night, and to get Lucy to be quiet while I try to get Freddy to nap during the day. It is a necessary evil right now and I have already warned Lucy that we will be watching much less TV once Freddy's arm is better. On the plus side about TV though, Jim and Evie gave us a Blue Ray player for Christmas that plays Netflix movies too, so at least we can be choosy about what we are watching. Dave and I are watching a disturbing number of crazy British comedies.
If it weren't for Freddy's arm being tied up he would really be making some mischief. He is getting up on his knees and pushing a chair in front of him and scooting behind it. I think he would really be cruising around the furniture but he can't quite get himself to standing with only one arm. Yesterday he started trying to climb the stairs, but again, with only one arm he can't pull himself all up onto the step, yet. When you tell him no he stops for a second looks at you, laughs and does whatever it was again. He is going to be a handful! He's got a temper and throws things when he is mad. He is a bit dramatic too, when he is angry or really tired he wails very very loudly. His favorite thing to do is to yell like he was in the video I posted on Christmas, he likes it best if you yell too, or even better if Lucy yells with him. :)
Lucy is totally a little girl now, there is no baby left at all. :( She plays all kinds of made up games, she has started drawing things that are recognizable, she makes up songs and dances, she has full conversations with her invisible friends... She is just so busy, and she NEVER STOPS TALKING!! I have started encouraging her to go play up in her room. ;)
Friday night Dave and I are going to the local preschool fair. We are going to sign her up to start in the fall for a couple of hours a couple times a week. She likes to watch the neighbors get on the school bus and sometimes she says "I can't wait until I go to school", and sometimes I say "I can't wait either". ;)
I'm sorry if this post makes no sense, I am pretty sure I am writing in English quasi-sentences, but I could be wrong so I am off to bed.
