Rehersal Dinner

The Flower Girl and the Groom. The bear is her present from the bride and groom. They went to Build-a-Bear and made bride bears.

She was a little hesitant and shy at first but she warmed up to everyone after a little bit.

The bride, her mother and the minister.

Lucy, Grandma and BobBob chillin' at the church.

The Flower girls in their chariot. This is Lucy's wagon that last I saw it was dirty and well played with. It looks so cool!!! Riley and Lucy's Daddies are going to pull them down the aisle in it.

I have more pics but not more time. Hopefully tomorrow I will get more!

It's a...

BOY!!! We had the ultrasound today and everything looked good. The baby is a big, healthy boy! Average weight at this point is about 8 and a half ounces, this baby is 10 ounces already and my uterus is measuring big too. Yikes! In utero, Lucy was always a bit on the small side but she was 8lbs 2ozs at birth. So if this baby is measuring on the big side now... I'll just say yikes again! :) On the good for me side, my siactica is better than it was and I have only gained 6lbs so far (normal at this point is 10lbs or more)! Here is a much awaited belly shot:

I had to post this one too because it demonstrates my life. I try to do something only to spend my time trying to get Lucy to stop chasing Mae. Soon Little Brother will be chasing Lucy who will be chasing Mae! :)

I taught Lucy a new word this afternoon for the occasion.

Another Video

I just took this video. I never thought that a flashlight could be so cool!

A little while I go I was getting dinner started, chicken enchiladas, yum!, so I needed to keep Lucy occupied. After she finished eating the huge piece of apple pie I gave her (Granny brought it over earlier this afternoon, thank you!), I gave her my basket of measuring cups to play with. Best toy ever!! Well as I just found out, second best toy ever after a flashlight.

Tomorrow is the big ultrasound!!!!!!! Yes, we are going to (hopefully) find out the sex of the baby. I want to know the sex even more with this baby than I wanted to know what Lucy was. Of course it turned out they were wrong with her, she isn't a little girl, she is definitely a monkey! :) I am watching her try to a somersault right now. (If she is trying to do that all on her own, is it a sign that I should find a gymnastics class for her?)

Pictures and Videos

Lucy is such a Daddy's girl. In this video she looks super cute (she chose the hat herself) and she talks about Daddy the whole time.

Here is the other video. It is from this weekend, when Lucy helped her Dad put down the flooring in the new baby's room.

When she picked out this hat to wear the other day I couldn't believe how cute she was! :)

I finally got a really good picture of my two girls. Lucy loves Mae! She follows her every where and wants Mae to do all of the things we are doing. Yesterday we washed our hands and when we were done she wanted Mae to wash her hands. :)

This is the new baby's room! The flooring is almost done and all that will be left to do is paint and put up trim.

Daddy and Lucy

Kim took this picture this morning for me. I am not sure why Lucy looks so forlorn. I think she is signing for Kim to take more pictures or play with her more. The point of the picture was to show off her awesome sweater that Tante Annie (her great-great aunt who lives in Holland) made for her. It is a beautiful sweater and fits her perfectly now!

Windows

Lucy and I actually did something today, besides take a nap. :) It was a good nap too, a little over two hours, I digress. We washed windows. Windows are one of my very least favorite cleaning jobs but we did a whole bunch of them today! I had forgotten that you could see out into the yard. I am feeling good that I accomplished something today. Tomorrow we are going to paint the nursery, we want to get it done while it is still nice enough to leave the windows open. I'll take a picture when it is done.

Sleeping in Bed!

Lucy is becoming such a big girl! Last night she slept in her own bed, not her crib, all night!!!!!!! She slept through the night!!!! In the bed!!!!!! I know, I know she is 18 months old and it shouldn't be a big deal that she slept through the night, but unfortunately it is a big deal. A huge deal for the exhausted pregnant mama! Over the last week she has only slept in her crib once or twice, she likes going to bed in the bed now! She has still been waking up and coming in with us. I wouldn't mind, it's just that I have a baby gate across her doorway so I don't have to worry about her falling down the stairs which means I have to go get her when she wakes up. A.k.a. I have to get up. :( The other night Dave went to get her and I hear her crying my name and he says "come here, I'll take you to her." Apparently she was running around the room away from him because she wanted me, cute but annoying at 2am!

Anyway, for my own future reference, how we got her to sleep in bed: We talked up how big girls sleep in beds not in cribs, and (unfortunately we had to do this) going into the crib was a bit of a punishment. If she wouldn't stay laying down and wouldn't settle down after a few reminders/warnings she got put in the crib and that was where she had to stay (until 2am when she woke up and came in with us. I couldn't bring myself to be that tough!). Also, I make sure to brag to everyone about how well she is doing in her big girl bed, and I do it in front of her. She looked so proud of herself this morning when I was telling everyone about how she slept through last night. She is such a little person now!

A Post From Lucy

bv jhjjnngv∂ß i'

That is Lucy's very own contribution to the blog. She throws a fit if I get on the computer and she doesn't get to play. We've created a monster.

Today we've been cleaning house, much needed but not much fun. We are also doing some cooking. Dave took a video of Lucy and I use our apple peeler/corer to make applesauce. She had her post-nap grumpy pants on so she starts whining at the end of it. Anyone who thinks Lucy never cries should enjoy hearing her whine. :)

I was wearing my least favorite maternity shirt, so, sorry you can't really see the bump, but it definitely shows now.

I did set up an account on Facebook so if you haven't already seen that go there and check it out. (You have to have an account there to see my page. Aunt Grace, I think you would love it, we have to set you up a page! :) )

I am actually having a few moments of quiet computer time because Lucy is playing with Dave and I partially shut the computer room door so she wouldn't see what I was doing. Yes, I am pitiful, I am hiding from an 18 month old! If I stay quiet I maybe I can have some time on the totally addictive, but totally time wasting Facebook.
